TOPEKA — Wilma Jeanne “Pat” Everett, Lyndon, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka. She was 77.

She was born Dec. 24, 1944, in Laredo, Texas, the daughter of William Harold and Frankie Jeanne (Shelley) Butts. She grew up around Quenemo, and lived in and near Quenemo most of her life. She had lived in Lyndon for the last 14 years.

Pat married John “Pappy” Everett April 21, 1984, in Ottawa.

She had worked for H.D. Lee, Ottawa, Filter Service, Lyndon, was a real estate office manager and a homemaker.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jeanne; and a daughter, Bridgette Rodney.

She is survived by her husband, John, of 38 years; two daughters, Dawnita Fine, Lyndon, and Karen Gibbs (Steve), Carbondale; two sisters, Noreen Markham (Dorsett), Vassar, and Nadine Bell, Osage City; Jack Fine, whom she loved as the father of two of her grandchildren; six grandchildren, Brian Rodney (Brandy), Billy Rodney, Charlene Gibbs, Alex Gibbs, Bobbi Fine and Kylee Fine-Jimenez (Valerie); and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Inurnment in Woodlawn Cemetery will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Midwest Transplant Network, and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
