Hailey (Haileigh) Rose Lowrance

BELLE PLAINE — Hailey (Haileigh) Rose Lowrance, 17, high school junior, concluded her life on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

She was born Nov. 21, 2004, to Patrick and Amanda Lowrance. At a very young age, she formed a love for art, soccer, gymnastics and basketball. With confidence in her corner, there was no task too big or too small that she would not achieve with a proud smile. She was joined by Cora, and “sister mischief” quickly formed a lasting legacy.

Hailey was often mother hen to her siblings, ensuring there was no lack of laughter, smiles and sweet treats without her parents’ knowledge. She stood up for Cora, taught Daxson to ride a bike, loved Eldon like he was her own, and helped originate Zeuscifer’s name. She was the rock in the Lowrance household, a hero to many and never went unnoticed even when she couldn’t believe it. There will never be another Hailey to walk the halls of Martin Elementary, Andover Middle School, Andover High School, Goessel High School and Belle Plaine High School.

She always had a desire to help others, whether it was to be a doctor to help deliver babies safely to their mothers or to help others dealing with mental illness. The world has seen its one and only Haileigh.

Hailey joined her beloved dog, Freckles, and is looking down on us all.

She is survived by her parents, Patrick and Amanda Lowrance, Belle Plaine; her siblings, Cora, Daxson, Eldon and Zeuscifer; her grandparents, Julie Lowrance, Marion, Gerard Lowrance (Laura), Osage City, John and Ruth Harmon, Osage City, and David Durbin, Kansas City; and her great-grandfather, Bill Durbin, Ft. Worth, Texas.

Visitation will be 4:25–7:25 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary, 6555 E. Central, Wichita. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the mortuary. Services will be live streamed and can be viewed at DLWichita.com.

Condolences may be left at DLWichita.com.
