OSAGE CITY — Ina Pearl (Manning) Peterson, Osage City, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Peterson Assisted Living, Osage City. She was 82.

She was born Nov. 4, 1938, in Olivet, the daughter of John Paul and Laura Edith (Kilgore) Manning. She graduated from Lyndon High School in 1956.

Ina was united in marriage to Charles S. “Pete” Peterson Sept. 15, 1956, in Lyndon. They shared over 63 years of marriage before Pete’s death Jan. 11, 2020.

She spent most of her life as a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting and painting, and was known for her superb cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.

Ina was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pete; two sisters, Betty Lindbloom and Mary Hood; and three brothers, Paul, Lloyd and Ernie Manning.

She is survived by her four daughters, Kim Tyson, Burlingame, Carla Kelly (Jeff), Parker, Colo., Karen Anderson (Warren), Burlingame, and Cathy Michael (Mark), Osage City; two sisters, Alice Delay, Topeka, and Martha Sweet, Green Valley, Ariz.; one brother, John Manning, Koolau, Hawaii; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 26, at the Burlingame Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Peterson Assisted Living or Avalon Hospice and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
