TOPEKA — Brenda Lou (Swanson) Groff, 80, Lyndon, died Monday, July, 12, 2021, at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka.

She was born Jan. 19, 1941, in Lyndon, the daughter of Harry Ray and Thelma Gertrude (Allison) Swanson. She graduated from Lyndon High School in 1959.

Brenda was united in marriage to Ronald R. Groff June 24, 1959, in Ottawa. They shared over 62 years of marriage. To this union, they shared a daughter, Rhonda.

Brenda worked for many years as a receptionist at Dr. Hill’s chiropractor practice, Lyndon. She was also an Osage County commissioner.
She is preceded in death by her parents.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Ronald, of the home; her daughter, Rhonda Beets (Barry), Lyndon; and her granddaughter, Allison Young, Grimes, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at Feltner Funeral Home, Lyndon, with burial following at the Lyndon Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m., prior to funeral.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lyndon Carnegie Library or the Lyndon Endowment Association and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
