OSAGE CITY – Howard Donald “Don” Franks III, 66, of Osage City, and formerly of Emporia, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, with his family at his side.
Don was born June 5, 1954, in De Soto, to Howard and Barbara Franks. He graduated from Lyndon High School in 1972.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 13, at 1 p.m. at the Vassar Community Center, 23165 S. Croco Road, Vassar. Light refreshments will be served following the service.
Don was cremated, and his ashes will be placed at the family plot in Williamsburg at a later date.
