LINCOLN, Calif. – Larry William Fricke, born Oct. 1, 1941, in Sabetha, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, in Lincoln, Calif.

He grew up in the Richland and Berryton communities, and graduated from Berryton High School in 1959.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Violet Musick, Ray Musick and Clarence Fricke.

He is survived by a sister, Carol Sisco, and two brothers, Ron and Marion Musick.

Larry was a loving husband for 64 years to Mary Fricke, and a caring father to Kevin Fricke, Leurinda Cole and Marla Golden. He loved to spend time with his eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

With a desire to serve his country, Larry entered the United States Navy in December 1959. After 10 years of active duty as a machinist on nuclear submarines, he served 20 years in the Reserves and retired a senior chief petty officer.

Larry’s second career was an electrician for the IBEW. He worked on the Alaska pipeline and power plants in Washington and California. As a union electrician, he also worked in Kansas, Idaho and Oregon before retiring in 2006.

He wasn’t content to just sit, so his third hustle was farming. He grew alfalfa on 30 acres in Moxee, Wash., where he also built a beautiful custom home.

He spent the last four years in Lincoln, Calif., close to his family, who will miss him dearly.
