LYNDON – Robert Lee Kline Sr. died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, at his son’s home near Lyndon. He was 70.

He was born Aug. 12, 1953, in Topeka, the son of Robert and Joyce (Caudle) Lemon, and was adopted and raised by Walter Scott Kline. He was raised in Topeka, but had lived in Kansas City and Vassar for several years before moving back to Topeka.

Robert worked in the heating and cooling trade for most of his work career. He worked for Henson’s Home Comfort, then owned and operated Kansas Solar and Electric. He worked in facilities management for several years, was a service technician, and then a painter for Mid-American Painting.

He married Vickie Anderson Nov. 21, 1973, and they later divorced.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his six children, Robert Kline Jr. (Lynn), Lyndon, Clifton Kline, Topeka, Angela Smith (Brandon), Lyndon, Robin McKinnon (Bill), Lyndon, Joel Kline (Anna), Littleton, Colo., and Briana Kline, Lawrence; his three brothers, Charles Kline, Kansas City, Mark Henson (Elaine), Ohio, and Allen Henson (Leta), Cameron, Mo.; his three sisters, Tina Stice, Pam Henderson and Bobbie Shreve (Terrence), all of Lawrence; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Aug. 16 at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Burial will be in the Lyndon Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Kline Memorial Fund, and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
