AUGUSTA – Keith Ray Sowell, Augusta, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024. He was 81.

He was born Nov. 3, 1942, in Vassar, to Ruby (McCreight) and Claude Paul Sowell.

Keith served in the United States Air Force and was later a supervisor and machinist at Beechcraft.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dwayne and Gary Sowell; and a sister, Bertha Bailey.

Keith is survived by a sister, Barbara Young; and three sons, Matthew, Paul and Dale Sowell.

Visitation was 9:30 to 11 a.m. Aug. 14, with service at 11 a.m., at New Life Tabernacle, Augusta. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Vassar Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Interim Hospice, 121 W. Central Ave., El Dorado, KS 67042, or New Life Tabernacle, 1200 Henry St., Augusta, KS 67010.
