TOPEKA — Marjean Jo Parker, Carbondale, died Thursday April 14, 2022, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka. She was 90.

She was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Carbondale, the daughter of William and Wilda (Cain) Waetzig. She graduated from Carbondale High School with the Class of 1949, and was a lifelong Carbondale resident.

Marjean was united in marriage to Robert Parker Aug. 13, 1950, in Topeka. They shared 71 years of loving marriage before Robert’s death.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, at Christ Lutheran Church, 3509 S.W. Burlingame Road, Topeka, with a viewing prior to the service beginning 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Carbondale Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Overbrook.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Capper Foundation, Midland Hospice, or Christ Lutheran Church, and sent in care of Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 268, Overbrook, KS 66524.
