BURLINGTON — Dolly Sue Morgan, 72, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at the Life Care Center, Burlington.
She was born May 19, 1949, in Woodward, Okla., the daughter of Arnold and Emma (Adams) Morgan. She had lived in Burlingame, Osage City and Scranton. She had worked as a dietician in a nursing home for several years.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Emma; four sisters, Hattie Patterson, Ruby Franklin, Jane Counts and Ula Patton; and six brothers, Chester, Arnold Jr., John, Duke, Gene and Henry Morgan.
She is survived by her son, Virgil Barr, Topeka; two daughters, Candy Barr and Sherry Lester (Scott), Scranton; two brothers, Jim Morgan (Pat), Buffalo, Okla., and Donald Morgan (Dee), Burlingame; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Cross Road Community Church, Scranton. Inurnment will be in the Carbondale Cemetery.
