OSAGE CITY — Ronny Uel Cheatham, Osage City, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 79.

He was born April 12, 1942, in Clinton, Mo., the son of Uel and Iola Cheatham. He was raised in Olathe, where he fell in love with his beloved Dianne Hale.

Ronny and Dianne were married April 11, 1965. This union blessed them with four sons.

He was deep seeded in his faith and love for God and family. He was a professional in the auto industry for more than 40 years. He loved boating, fishing, gardening and spending time with family. He shared stories about his adventures with family and friends, and was notorious for his quick and quirky sense of humor.

Ronny was preceded in death by his father, Uel Cheatham; his mother, Iola Little; and two siblings, Danny Lee Cheatham and Pamela Cheatham Allenbrand.

He will be deeply and forever missed by his family and friends, including his wife of 56 years, Dianne Cheatham; four sons, Eric Cheatham (Bridget), Shawnee, Heath Cheatham (Kathy), Topeka, Danny Cheatham (Gail), Topeka, and Adam Cheatham, Osage City; five grandchildren, Dahnika (Hazen), Alexis, Blake, Mitchell and Aiden; three great-grandchildren, Naomi, Matilda and Frances; a sister, Darlene Cheatham Anderson (Dave), Warsaw, Mo.; and many other loving relatives.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
