BURLINGTON — Hunter Joe Ayers, 29, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at his home in Burlington.
He was born April 17, 1992, in Emporia, the son of Robert Joe and Kathy Sue (Kolbaba) Ayers. He graduated from Osage City High School in 2011.
Hunter cared deeply about his family and friends. He loved spending time with them, especially his grandma, Juanita. He enjoyed cooking and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He loved dogs and the companionship they provided. He was a direct support professional for COF Training Services, Burlington, caring for individuals in need. He was so many things. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. Most of all, he was a kind soul who meant the world to those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Kolbaba, and an uncle, Steven Kolbaba.
Hunter will be forever remembered by his parents, Robert and Kathy Ayers, Osage City; his brother, Walker Ayers (Lauren), Emporia; his maternal grandmother, Juanita Kolbaba, Osage City; his paternal grandfather, Robert Ayers (Vickie), El Dorado, Mo.; his paternal grandmother, Joanne Washburn (Alan), Lamar, Mo.; a nephew, Emerson Joe Ayers; and a niece, Holly Marie Ayers.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
