LYNDON — Ann Bowen Goldsmith, 93, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at her home near Lyndon.

She was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Jena, Texas, the daughter of James Newton and Ada Elizabeth (Craft) Bowen. She grew up in Texas, and had lived on farms around Lyndon since 1949.

Ann was a homemaker, a bowling instructor, an artist of paints, and had owned her own art store in Lyndon. She was always a very active part of the farm work as well. She had been a member of the Osage County Historical Society, as well as other community social groups through the years.

She was united in marriage to Raymond Goldsmith March 19, 1949, in Bel Falls, Texas.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ada; her two brothers, Harold and Sonny; and two sisters, Marie and Helen.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 73 years, Raymond; her sister, Beatrice Cholett, Temple, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at the Lyndon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at the Lyndon United Methodist Church. The family requests that masks be worn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lyndon High School Honor Flight and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
