TOPEKA — Audrey Ann Even, 70, Osage City, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at Midland Hospice Care, Topeka.

She was born June 16, 1951, in St. Cloud, Minn., the daughter of Norbert and Irene (Ahrens) Karls.

Audrey grew up in Holdingford, Minn., where she graduated from high school in 1969. She lived most of her life in St. Cloud, where she worked at Fingerhut and Lantz Lens.

She married Randy Even Aug. 19, 1995, in St. Cloud. They moved to Osage City in 2013.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Irene.

She is survived by her husband, Randy, of the home; her son, Roger Hiemenz, St. Cloud, Minn.; her daughter, Sheila Gibson, Lyndon; her seven siblings, Mary Curry, Clear Lake, Minn., Gordon Karls, Lucan, Minn., Darlene Harvego, Bloomington, Minn., Eugene Karls, St. Paul, Minn., Eileen Karls, Becker, Minn., Duane Karls, Gray Eagle, Minn., and Karla Karls, Becker, Minn.; her three grandchildren, Rebecca Buek, Topeka, Kimberly Lister and Jeffrey Lister, both of Lyndon; and her two almost-daughters, Peggy Ackman, St. Cloud, Minn., and Marty Huckstep, Holts Summit, Mo.

Audrey was cremated. A family gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
