VASSAR — Patti Jane Croy, 65, Vassar, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, in an automobile accident near Vassar.

Patti Jane Jackson was born Oct. 21, 1955, in Emporia, the daughter of John Henry and Jane Estella (Christiason) Jackson. She graduated from Osage City High School in 1973, and later, Brown Mackie College with an associate degree in business.

She was joined in marriage to Don Croy Jr. June 21, 2001.

Patti started working for the State of Kansas Health and Environment in water management after graduating from college, where she worked for 46 years.

She was an avid calligrapher and loved cross-stitch and gardening. Most of all, she loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Osage City, and donated many hours to the Topeka Rescue Mission.

Patti was preceded in death by her father, John Jackson; a daughter, Sara Rae Voiers; and a brother, John Paul Jackson.

She will forever be remembered by her husband, Don Croy Jr., of the home; a daughter, Missy Graves (Darin), Ottawa; her mother, Jane Jackson, Osage City; two sisters, Jeanne Ihnken, Bennington, and Tammi Brabb (Doug), Osage City; a brother, Jody Jackson (Debbie), Osage City; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at the First United Methodist Church, Osage City. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City. Inurnment at Osage City Cemetery will take place at later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523.
