TOPEKA — Cory Micheal Molloy, 42, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka.

He was born Dec. 13, 1978, in Moundridge, the son of James D. Molloy and Norma J. Sloan. He lived most of his life around the Carbondale community.

Cory worked as a heavy equipment operator/grader operator for Rush County, Osage County and Williamsport Township.

He was united in marriage to Jennifer Marx Feb. 13, 2018, in Carbondale. He was a loving son, husband, father and brother. He loved life and always wanted everyone around him to have a great day and a good time.

Cory was preceded in death by his father, James “Jim” Molloy; his paternal grandfather, Jefferson Molloy; and his maternal grandparents, Emmett and Marjorie Sloan.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Molloy, of the home; his daughter, Chevelle Molloy, of the home; his mother, Norma J. McNair, McCracken; his stepmother, Claudine Irwin, Plainville; his stepson, Justin Wools, Topeka; his two grandsons, Sterling and Hudson Wools; his sister, Tracy Humbert (Rodney), Topeka, and her children, Taylor Whitaker (Amanda), Tyler Whitaker, Michael Humbert and Addison Humbert; his brother, Jeffery Molloy, Carbondale, and his children, Lexie and Colton Molloy; his sister, Jamie DeWitt (Dallas), McCracken, and her children, Mason Davison, Hunter DeWitt and Maverick DeWitt; his sister, Ariel Jacques (Steven), Topeka; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Molloy, Carbondale; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at the Carbondale Church of Christian Fellowship. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the service at the Carbondale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cory Molloy Memorial Fund and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
