BURLINGAME — Larry Dean Lesperance, 58, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, at his home in Burlingame.
He was born June 9, 1962, in Concordia, the son of Darrell Roger Lesperance and Catherine Ann (Carroll) Thompson. He grew up and attended schools in Concordia, graduating from Concordia High School in 1980.
After high school, Larry worked for the Eldorado Motor Company in McPherson. He began a lifelong career in construction engineering at Mid-Continent Engineers in Salina, and later for PEC Engineering in Topeka,. He currently worked for Benesch Engineering in Topeka as a certified inspector for road construction.
Larry’s hobbies included operating radio-controlled cars, helicopters and drones. He had a love of music and was a self-taught guitarist, and was also an avid NASCAR Fan. He loved celebrating the Fourth of July and will be remembered for his neighborhood fireworks displays.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry is survived by his brother, Mark (Dawn) Lesperance, Lewiston, Idaho, and a niece and nephew.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
