TOPEKA — Azariah James Walthall, 30, died Thursday, March 11, 2021, at his home in Topeka. He was born Dec. 26, 1990, in Joplin, Mo., the son of Robert and Gayle Parsons Walthall.

Azariah lived in Neosho, Mo., until age 6, and then moved with his family to Carbondale. He had lived in Topeka for the last several years.

Azariah graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 2009 and worked at Target Distribution, Topeka, as a manager.

Azariah is survived by Krissy Terry and his daughter, Jocelyn Gayle Walthall, of the home; his parents, Robert and Gayle Walthall, Scranton; his sister, Christal Wallace, Nampa, Idaho; his maternal grandparents, Jeanette and George Burgess, Neosho, Mo., and his paternal grandparents, James and Cheryl Walthall, Joplin, Mo.

Funeral services for Azariah will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 20 at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Azariah will lie in state from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 19, and the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Cremation will follow the service on Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jocelyn Walthall Education Fund, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS. 66451. Online condolences for the family may be left at feltnerfuneralhome.com.
