LYNDON – JoAnn Pouch, Lyndon, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at her home. She was 84.
She was born Nov. 14, 1936, near Lyndon, the daughter of Harlan and Elsie (McCreight) Goldsmith.
JoAnn grew up near Lyndon and had lived across Kansas until returning to Lyndon in 1991.
JoAnn was a Registered Nurse, graduating from the Stormont-Vail School of Nursing in 1957. She worked in several hospitals through the years including Stormont-Vail in Topeka, was the Osage County Health Nurse, Director of Nursing for Hilltop Nursing Home in Lyndon and then worked for the Cotton-O’Neil Clinic in Topeka. She was a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church, where she was a part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry, the United Methodist Women and Parish Nurse. She was a member of the Community Business Women and the Lyndon Lions Club.
On Sept. 7, 1957, JoAnn was married to Rudolph “Rudy” Pouch at the Lyndon United Methodist Church. To this union, three children were born, Vici, Kevin and Shane.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy, Jan. 28, 2010; her parents, Harlan and Elsie; and her sister, Jennie Lee Nettleton.
She is survived by her three children, Vici (Frank) Jennings, Wamego, Kevin (Kim) Pouch, Newton, and Shane Pouch, Mission; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for JoAnn will be announced in the spring or summer by Feltner Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Lyndon Cemetery.
