Jerry Ann St. John Lynch

BURLINGTON — Jerry Ann St. John Lynch, Osage City, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, at Life Care Center, Burlington. She was 80.
She was born July 24, 1940, in Randall, the 10th child of Pearl St. John Sr., and Orlena (Bailey) St. John. Jerry was named after Orlena’s parents, Jerry Bailey and Mary Ann (Taylor) Bailey. She grew up in Randall, with a population of 80, and had many friends there.
After graduating high school, she went to Oklahoma and worked driving a truck during a wheat harvest. She then moved back to Randall and worked in a cafe in Beloit, where she met her first husband, Charlie Blundon. They moved to Topeka and lived there until Charlie passed away.
Jerry then met her second husband, E.P. King, and they moved to Little Rock, Ark. After E.P. retired from the Air Force, they moved back to Kansas and resided in Overbrook. He passed away from cancer.
She remained in Overbrook and went to work at a café, where she met Gale Lynch. They were married in 1987 and stayed in Overbrook for a while, eventually moving to El Dorado. There they owned a repair business for damaged trailer houses until 1995, when they sold it.
During their retirement years, they resided in Osage City. After Gale passed away, Jerry lived in Lebo for a short time and then moved back to the home, in Osage City. She remained there until she could no longer live on her own and resided in a care facility, in Burlington.
Jerry was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Pearl Jr., and wife, Rachel, Donald, Robert and Richard; four sisters; Dorothy and husband, Rupe, Virginia and husband, Gerald, Lois and husband, W.C., and Donna and husband, Cliff.
She is survived by a brother, Carl and wife, Veonne; two sisters-in-law, Betty and Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at Randall Cemetery, Randall.
