OVERBROOK — Albert Lawrence Park Jr., Osage City, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook. He was 90.

Albert was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Marysville, the son of Albert Lawrence and Xaina (Tuttle) Park Sr. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1948 and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1953, with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy.

He married Lois Elizabeth Edwards June 12, 1956, in Lawrence. She survives of the home. To this union, two children were born, Susan and Sarah.

He owned and operated Park Pharmacy, Osage City, for 31 years.

Al was an active member of the United Methodist Church and Kiwanis, both in Osage City. He was a U.S. Army veteran, discharged at the rank of First Lieutenant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Donald Park.

Besides his wife, he will be forever remembered by two daughters, Susan (Larry) Patton, Lawrence, and Sarah (Bill) Granger, Overbrook; two grandchildren, John Granger and Rosalie Granger, both of Topeka; and two great-grandsons, Ira and Ezra Granger.

A private graveside service will be held at Osage City Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Osage City United Methodist Church or Kiwanis Club of Osage City Scholarship Fund and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, KS 66523.
