John W. Miles III

TOPEKA — John W. Miles III, formerly of Lyndon and Topeka, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at Topeka. He was 78.

He was born July 22, 1942, at Greensburg, Pa., the son of John and Jane (Kim) Miles.

He married Nellie Miles, April 10, 1966, at Carbondale. She survives.

He worked as an accounting clerk for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad.

He was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church and the American Legion.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Daniel) Eye and Teresa Jane (Dennis) Guilbault; and nine grandchildren, Kayla (Craig) Smith, Chadwick Foust, Nicholas Faust, Allie (Will) Culley, Jennifer (Mike) Cross, Kevin Guilbault, Darrin (Christine) Eye, Danielle Eye and Julie Knolle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Rebecca A. Faust; and two brothers, Dennis and Tom Miles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the spring.

Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka North Outreach.

Parker-Price Funeral Home, Topeka, is assisting the family.
