OVERBROOK — Tammey Harrison, Vassar, previously of Carbondale, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, west of Overbrook, on Kansas Highway 56. She was 56.

She was born Jan. 15, 1964, in Sterling, the daughter of Eugene Harrison and Pat (Hamilton) Harrison. Tammey grew up in the Carbondale area and lived nearly her entire life there until moving to Vassar this past January.

Tammey was a caregiver working for TARC in Topeka for many years and also for Resource Center for Independent Living, also in Topeka.

Tammey was one of the most selfless people you would ever meet. She would give someone anything they needed. She was constantly sacrificing herself and her time for others. Her family was always first. She cared and loved them with her entire life and the care for Brad showed just how dedicated to her family she was. She always loved to go camping and was an avid Chiefs fan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Harrison, and a sister, Karen Cartwright.

She is survived by three sons, Martin Padilla, Carbondale, Bradley Padilla, Carbondale, Travis Padilla, Carbondale; two grandchildren, “Lil” Marty Padilla, Carbondale, and Avery Padilla, Carbondale; her mother, Pat Harrison, Eureka; a brother, Randy Harrison, Vassar; four sisters, Brenda Durkin, Eureka, Kathy Pfannenstiel, Topeka, Rhonda Newman, Eureka, and Kim Timmons, Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.

To celebrate Tammey’s life, a visitation will be held 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov 17, at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 730 Western Heights Drive, Overbrook, KS 66524. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 5 p.m. Tuesday. A Celebration of Life will then occur Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Four Corners Steakhouse and Lounge, Scranton, for family and close friends. Facemasks during all events are strongly encouraged.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tammey Harrison Memorial Fund and sent in care of Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 268, Overbrook, KS 66524.
