Donna Jean Holstrom Meyersick

BURLINGAME — Donna Jean Holstrom Meyersick, Burlingame, died at her home Friday, July 3, 2020. She was 65.

She was born Feb. 13, 1954, at St. Mary Hospital, Emporia, the daughter of Horace and Norma Jean Holstrom. She lived most of her life in Osage County, and attended school in Burlingame.

Following her marriage to George Meyersick, in 1972, they spent some time in Oregon before returning to Kansas. George and Donna were divorced. She was currently residing at Townsite Apartments, in Burlingame, where she lived since 2010.

She will be forever remembered for her generosity of spirit and her many potted flowers and collections. She was a gifted crafter, especially talented at making floral arrangements and wreaths.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a son, David Duane Meyersick, Topeka; two grandchildren, David Alexander Meyersick, Topeka, and Shania Storm Meyersick, South Carolina; three sisters, Debbie Romine and husband, Bryce, Lyndon, Darlene Atchison and husband, Charles “Tug”, Burlingame, and Delores “DeeDee” Spiller, Burlingame; and nieces and nephews and cousins who will mourn her loss.

Donna was cremated. A memorial and celebration of life is planned for a later date.
