Anita J. Banks

OSAGE CITY — Anita J. Banks died Monday, July 6, 2020, at Hickory Pointe Care and Rehab Center, Oskaloosa. She was 92.
She was born June 25, 1928, in Osage City, the daughter of Oscar and Anna (Adolphson) Lind.
She married Wayne Banks Dec. 4, 1947, in Topeka. He preceded her in death. To this union two children were born, David and Linda.
Anita worked in production at Hallmark Cards
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Oscar and Kenneth; and a sister, Berniece.
She will be forever remembered by a daughter, Linda Mooney and husband, Dale, Oskaloosa; a son, David E. Banks and wife, Donna, Council Grove; a sister, Dorothy Lind, Osage City; three grandchildren, Lori (Robert) Alexander, Danelle (Monte) Steffey, Travis (Laticia) Mooney; nine great-grandchildren, Christopher (Samantha) Alexander, Dylan Alexander, Preston Alexander, Monte Steffey II, Kayla Steffey, Hunter Steffey and Vada, Isaiah, and Walker Mooney; and two great-great-grandchildren, Sophia and Gabriella Alexander.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 10, at Union Cemetery, Osage City.
