TOPEKA — Jack Bowen Sr., Vassar, died Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Topeka Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Topeka. He was 75.

He was born Aug. 20, 1944, in North Platte, Neb., the son of Frank and Beulah Chambers Bowen. Jack lived in several cities, much of it in Denver, Colo., Anchorage, Alaska, and Vassar.

Jack graduated from North Platte High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. He worked as a fire protection engineer for 56 years. He was a member of the Masonic Order.

Jack married Jennifer Lynn Allen, they later divorced. He married Jane Ellen Duke Dec. 28, 1976, in Denver, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane, on Dec. 15, 2006; and two sisters, Jo Lynn and Jeannine.

Jack is survived by a son, Jack Bowen Jr., Liberty, Mo.; three daughters, Jamie Bowen and husband, Kevin, Kansas City, Mo., Katherine Martin and husband, Eric, Carrboro, N.C., and Rebecca Dorman and husband, Tom, Osage City; a brother, Jerry Bowen, Cheyenne, Wyo.; and six grandchildren, Tim, Christian, Cora, Kassandra, Viktoria and Ryder.

Online Zoom memorial services will be 5 p.m. June 13, at 861 5417 4297.
