Donna Sue Hoffman Smith

OSAGE CITY — Donna Sue Hoffman Smith died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at her home in Osage City. She was 66.

She was born Oct. 24, 1953, in Topeka, the daughter of Arthur W. and Alta Kiwitter Hoffman.

She was married and divorced from Paul Mendoza and Alan Smith. Later, she met Todd Lane and spent many years together. Todd preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2016. Todd and her loved fishing, Nascar and garage sales together.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Monty Mendoza; and a brother, Billy Hoffman.

Donna will be forever remembered by a daughter, Paula Williams, Osage City; a son, Jacob Smith, Kansas City; three sisters, Mary Bartley, Burlington, Anna Hoffman, Osage City, and Sandy Bernhardt, Carbondale; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Feb. 29, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City. Family will receive friends after service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Donna Sue Smith Memorial Fund and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, KS 66523.
