Pomona Lake closes camping area, boat ramps open

VASSAR — The Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is scheduled to make operational changes and closures to Adams Grove Park, located at Pomona Lake, due to underutilization. These changes are being made in an effort to improve park operating efficiencies, while still providing a quality recreational opportunity for the public.

The following changes will take effect immediately. Adams Grove camping will be permanently closed. The boat ramp and vault toilet will remain open for day use activities. As an alternative, visitors are encouraged to visit Outlet Park, Michigan Valley Park, Wolf Creek Park, Carbolyn Park or Cedar Park.

For more information, contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pomona Lake, at (785) 453 2201.
