OVERBROOK — Frank Bailey Jr., Osage City, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at Brookside Retirement, Overbrook. He was 90.

He was born Jan. 27, 1930, in Mays Lick, Ky., the son of Frank and Margaret Collins Bailey Sr. Frank grew up in Kentucky and Ohio. He lived in Topeka for several years and in Osage City since 1988.

Frank served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for the Topeka Fire Department for over 25 years, retiring at the rank of captain.

He married Cleta McNinch June 27, 1951, in Topeka. She preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 2005.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Bailey; and his parents, Frank and Margaret.

Frank is survived by a son, Steve Bailey and wife, Rene, Burlingame; a daughter, Nancy Adams and husband, Pete, Topeka; a brother, Kenneth Bailey, Bethel, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3 at Topeka Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon.

Memorial contributions may be made to Osage County Senior Center and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
