Lyndon — Robert Niles Stout, 41, passed away on Friday, Jan. 17 at Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. He was born on Dec. 28, 1978 in Topeka, the son of John and Elsie Hursh Stout.

Bob had lived in the Lyndon community all of his life. He graduated from Lyndon High School in 1997.

Bob attended Emporia State University and Pittsburg State. He worked as a police officer in Pittsburg, Lyndon and Washburn University, was a jailer at Osage County Jail and had worked in security at Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant at Burlington for the last 11 years. He had been a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church.

Bob was married to Nicole Anderson in 2001; they later divorced.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie, on Oct. 8, 2013.

Bob is survived by his father, John Stout; wife, Libby of Carbondale; his daughter, Abigail Stout of Lyndon; his sister, Kathryn (Stout) Shepard and husband Joshua and children of Lyndon; and his brother, Gregory Stout of Topeka.

Private family services for Bob will be held at a later date at Lyndon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Abby Stout Education Fund, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451. Online condolences for the family may be left at feltnerfuneralholme.com.
