TOPEKA — Donald D. “Don” Remington, 84, Carbondale, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka.

He was born Feb. 22, 1937, at Carbondale, the son of Noble C. and Florence E. (Rowe) Remington. He lived in the rural Carbondale community all of his life.

Don was a farmer and had worked at Gregg Tire, Topeka. Later, he was a custodian for USD 434 at the Santa Fe Trail High School.

He married Anita L. Barbro Sept. 5, 1970, at St. Louis, Mo. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his son, Jerry C. Remington, Overbrook; his daughter, Alicia Mount (Kip), Newkirk, Okla.; a brother, Robert Remington (Viola), Topeka; and a grandson, Fredrick Thor Phillips.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Carbondale Cemetery.
