TONGANOXIE \u2013 Glenda Rae (Wilkerson) Wolf died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at her home in Tonganoxie. She was 81.<\/p>\n
She was born Nov. 26, 1942, in Natchitoches, La., the daughter of J.C. and Pearl (Troquille) Wilkerson. She attended Cabot High School in Cabot, Ark.<\/p>\n
On May 3, 1971, Glenda was united in marriage to Loren Dale Wolf, in Topeka. They shared 53 years of loving marriage.<\/p>\n
Glenda worked as the librarian at Scranton\u2019s elementary school until her retirement in 1997.<\/p>\n
She loved travelling and the scenery on car rides, especially going up and down the Arkansas River in their cabin cruiser. She liked camping and making it a home. She enjoyed planting flowers and gardening, and would occasionally steal starts for plants. She loved shoes and cooking, but most of all, she loved her family.<\/p>\n
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Wilkerson and Pearl T. Johnson; her stepfather, Fredrick J. Johnson; her son, Sean Eric Wolf; and her three sisters, twin Linda F. Streeter, Melba Jean Dillon and Charlotte Wilkerson.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her husband, Loren Dale Wolf, of the home; two daughters, Tami Loraine Kendall, Topeka, and Tina Bell Gardner, Dallas, Texas; two stepbrothers, Joe Vercher, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Jimmy Fletcher, Texarkana, Texas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Sept. 24, at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Overbrook. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 23, at the funeral home.<\/p>\n
