OLATHE \u2013 Patricia “Pat” English died Saturday, June 8, 2024, in Olathe. She was 78.<\/p>\n
She was born Feb. 10, 1946, in Emporia, to Gene and Wanda Paxton.<\/p>\n
Pat was a longtime resident of Lawrence. She worked at KU for 27 years, with most of those in the radio\/TV\/film department of the School of Journalism. She moved to Nashville, Tenn., for just over a decade, before returning to Lawrence.<\/p>\n
In her free time, Pat loved fostering kittens for the Lawrence Humane Society, making jewelry and watching KU basketball.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Wanda.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her daughter, Megan English (Mark Partin), Olathe; her sister, Linda Williams, Vassar; and her former spouse, John, Lawrence.<\/p>\n
