TOPEKA \u2014 Sandra L. Casey, 74, Vassar, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka.<\/p>\n
She was born July 25, 1947, in Lawrence, the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Edmonds) Duncan. She grew up in Perry, and had lived near Vassar since 2009.<\/p>\n
Sandy worked as a secretary for Heetco in Lawrence for many years, and then for several years was with Harry McClure and Maupintour.\u00a0She had attended the Christian Church, Perry.<\/p>\n
She was united in marriage to Don Casey Oct. 28, 1989, in Lawrence.<\/p>\n
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Elizabeth.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her husband, Don, of the home; her two children, Chrissy Immenschuh (Jim Cunningham), Tonganoxie, and Scott Immenschuh, Lawrence; her three stepchildren, Cary Casey, Scranton, Sherry Engelman (Bruce), Buffalo, and Clarissa Meek, Osage City; her two brothers, Wayne Duncan, Topeka, and Bruce Duncan, Olathe; her sister, Rhonda Rowell, Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Burial will follow at the Alpine Cemetery, near Melvern Lake. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the chapel.<\/p>\n
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.<\/p>\n
