{"id":7915,"date":"2021-04-12T10:50:16","date_gmt":"2021-04-12T15:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/och-c.com\/?p=7915"},"modified":"2021-04-12T10:55:50","modified_gmt":"2021-04-12T15:55:50","slug":"lavern-clark-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/och-c.com\/index.php\/2021\/04\/12\/lavern-clark-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Lavern Clark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OVERBROOK \u2014 Lavern Clark, 82, died Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook.<\/p>\n<p>She was born Aug. 15, 1937, in Trafford, Ala., the daughter of Oscar and Lena Mae Holloway Crawford.<\/p>\n<p>Lavern grew up in Alabama and had lived in Lakeland, Fla., Williamsburg, Mo., and then Lyndon.<\/p>\n<p>She was a homemaker, seamstress, and had worked as a cook for the Osage County Jail for nearly 10 years. She was a member of TOPS and she enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens.<\/p>\n<p>Lavern was married to Phillip Clark Feb. 14, 1966, in Valdosta, Ga.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lena; a son, Eddie Drew; and her sister, Verla Mae Miller.<\/p>\n<p>Lavern is survived by her husband, Phillip; her children, Shelia Pate, Florida, Saxby &#8220;Rick&#8221; Mickler, Scranton, Deronda Cain, Tebbetts, Mo., and Verita Stumpe, St. Peters, Mo.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial services for Lavern will be noon Saturday, April 17, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at the chapel.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
