LAWRENCE \u2014 Ann Margaret Thompson Lindbloom, 51, Lawrence, passed away March 15, 2021, due to unforeseen complications after surgery.<\/p>\n
Ann was born Dec. 2, 1969, in Emporia, the daughter of David and Judy Thompson. She graduated from Burlingame High School in 1988.<\/p>\n
She earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology at Emporia State University, magna cum laude with honors.\u00a0 She later earned a master’s in social entrepreneurship from Fort Hays State University.<\/p>\n
Ann worked for institutes of higher education, including Allen Community College and the University of Kansas.<\/p>\n
Survivors include three children, Jerynn, Dany and Caiden Lindbloom, Lawrence; her partner, Trent Georgie, Lawrence; her parents, David and Judy Thompson, Burlingame; four siblings, JB\/Jan Zwilling (Chris), Scranton, EJ (Sharon) Thompson, Burlingame, Laura Hanna (Craig), Los Angeles, and Dave (Amity) Thompson, Manhattan; ex-husband, Jarrod Lindbloom, Lawrence; 14 nieces and nephews; and two great-nieces.<\/p>\n
A remembrance of Ann will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at the Burlingame Schuyler Community Center, 117 S. Dacotah, Burlingame. Face masks and social distancing are respectfully encouraged. Guests are welcome to bring photos or stories to the remembrance.<\/p>\n
