He was 92.<\/p>\n<p>He was born July 9, 1928, in Vassar, the son of Clarence and Hallie McCreight Brecheisen. He lived near Lyndon for 56 years, in Ottawa for 25 years and in Topeka for the last 11 years.<\/p>\n<p>Charles worked as a truck driver for Army Air Force Exchange Service and Bones Trucking, Ottawa. He was a plumber and electrician and worked at Sunflower Ammunition Plant, near DeSoto. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Vassar.<\/p>\n<p>Charles married Delores Jane Masenthin July 24, 1949, at Zion Lutheran Church, Vassar. She preceded him in death on Jan. 15, 2007. Charles married Ruth Tessendorf Dec. 31, 2008.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Hallie; a brother, Paul Brecheisen; and two sisters, Edrie Piemann and Maxine Miller.<\/p>\n<p>Charles is survived by his wife, Ruth, of the home; a son, Rex Brecheisen, Lyndon; two daughters, Ronda (Nelson) Higdon, Grandview, Mo., and Rita (Larry) Masenthin, Lyndon; a stepson, Mike (Brenda) Blossom, Bentondorf, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Deb Carter, Topeka; nine grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. at the chapel.
