Dolores E. Sillin<\/strong><\/p>\n

April 25, 1931 \u2013 July 26, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

OVERBROOK \u2014 Dolores E. Sillin, Overbrook, died Sunday, July 26, 2020. She was 89.<\/p>\n

She was born April 25, 1931, in Great Bend, the daughter of Louis Jacob and Viola A. (Wolf) Geil. She was a 1948 graduate of Great Bend High School.<\/p>\n

Dolores was employed by Great Bend Lumber Yard and later for Sears Department Store, in Topeka, for many years until retiring.<\/p>\n

She was a member of Overbrook United Methodist Church, in Overbrook. She volunteered for Help House, in Lyndon, and American Cancer Society.<\/p>\n

Dolores married Percy Sillin Aug. 19, 1952, in Great Bend. He preceded her in death Nov. 9, 2003.<\/p>\n

Dolores enjoyed spending time with family, especially grandchildren, traveling, cooking, gardening, crafts and Christmas season and music. She was also a K.C. Royals fan.<\/p>\n

Survivors include two sons, Brad D. Sillin and Todd (J.J.) Sillin, both of Topeka; three grandchildren, Chance, Mariah and Jessica; and five great-grandchildren, Maverick, Charley, Mason, Waylon and Kase and another expected.<\/p>\n

Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony is pending at a later date at Overbrook United Methodist Church, 1005 Maple St., Overbrook.<\/p>\n

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W. Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.<\/p>\n
