She was 80.<\/p>\n<p>She was born March 1, 1940, in Topeka, the daughter of Clarence and Nettie (Gifford) Helstorm.<\/p>\n<p>Dee married Norman &#8220;Cowboy&#8221; Richman Sept, 4, 1955, at the Chapel, on Forbes Field. He preceded her in death. She was a dedicated military wife, while Cowboy was deployed in war for the Air Force.<\/p>\n<p>After the death of her father, she took over Helstorm House Movers. She moved historic land pieces in the state of Kansas, including the Menninger Chapel and Fleming Mansion to name a couple. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2709.<\/p>\n<p>Dee was the matriarch of the family and the glue that held everyone together. There was not a thing she would not do for anyone. She never met a stranger. Her family brought her so much joy. She loved them with her whole being.<\/p>\n<p>Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nettie Helstorm; a brother, Buddy May; a sister, Roberta Louise Couey; and a daughter-in-law, Janice Richman.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a son, Norman Harold Richman Jr.; a daughter, Sherry Poling; three grandchildren, Brittany Richman-Neilson (Kyle), Dalton Cox and Jordan Poling; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Kay Richman and Briar Kaylynn Neilson.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25 at Topeka Baptist Church, 4500 S.W. Gage Blvd., Topeka, with burial to follow at Union Cemetery, Osage County. Visitation will be 6 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 24, at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 S.W.
