OLATHE – John L. Fellers, 75, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Olathe Hospice House, Olathe. He was 75.

He was born Sept. 7, 1948, in Emporia, the son of Justin and Lorena (McNabb) Fellers. He lived all his life in and near Melvern, graduating from Melvern High School in 1966.

John served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

He was united in marriage to Linda Diane Rice Oct. 23, 1969, in Leoti. To this union, two daughters were born, Jill Shannan and Mendy Danielle.

John was the owner and operator of Precision Grading for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Justin Fellers and Lorena Carlat.

John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda; his two daughters, Jill Shannan Buenaflor, Wood Heights, Mo., and Mendy Danielle Craig, Melvern; two brothers, Robert N. Fellers, Lebo, and Dan W. Fellers, Melvern; a sister, LeAnn Fouts, Auburn; three grandchildren, Ashton Damian, Madison Burns and Conner Craig; two great-grandchildren, Gunner Damian and Greyson Damian; and other relatives and friends.

To his family, he was the Great L. John Fellers, and they will greatly miss him, but he will always be with them and live on in their memories.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. Feltner Funeral Home, Lyndon, is assisting the family.
