Patricia “Pat” English

OLATHE – Patricia “Pat” English died Saturday, June 8, 2024, in Olathe. She was 78.
She was born Feb. 10, 1946, in Emporia, to Gene and Wanda Paxton.
Pat was a longtime resident of Lawrence. She worked at KU for 27 years, with most of those in the radio/TV/film department of the School of Journalism. She moved to Nashville, Tenn., for just over a decade, before returning to Lawrence.
In her free time, Pat loved fostering kittens for the Lawrence Humane Society, making jewelry and watching KU basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Wanda.
She is survived by her daughter, Megan English (Mark Partin), Olathe; her sister, Linda Williams, Vassar; and her former spouse, John, Lawrence.
