TOPEKA — Molly Marie Kneale, Wakarusa, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka. She was 74.

She was born June 7, 1947, in Pratt, the daughter of Victor J. and Ruby F. (Gillette) Stegman. Early in her life, her family moved to the Wakarusa area, where she lived for most of the rest of her life. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School with the Class of 1965.

Molly was a manufacturing factory worker for Davol, Lawrence, for many years. Prior to that, she worked for Quality Oil.

She was united in marriage to William Kneale April 5, 1991, in Miami, Okla. They shared 31 years of loving marriage.

Molly was a fun loving and quiet person. She loved to fish, and was always excited to get to the lake and enjoy a day. She enjoyed reading, and was always excited to start a new book. She also had a very artistic side that came out in the various jewelry items she made over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Kimberly Ann Mechtley and Carolyn Mechtey; and a brother, Samuel Andrew Stegman.

Molly is survived by her husband, William Kneale, Wakarusa; three sisters, Judy Kutrz, Scranton, Coleen Cambron, Osage City, and Elizabeth Scott, Scranton; and two brothers, Rubin Stegman, Carbondale, and Arnol Stegman, Topeka.

Private funeral services will be held. Interment will be at Carbondale Cemetery.
