Ann (Woodbury) Lusk

OSAGE CITY — Ann (Woodbury) Lusk, 93, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, at her home in Osage City.

She was born April 13, 1928, the daughter of Howard K. and Rachel Ann (Evans) Woodbury. She attended schools in the Olivet area and graduated from Lyndon High School. She then attended college, first at Washburn University, Topeka, where she was a member of Alpha Phi, and then at Kansas State University, Manhattan, where she earned her bachelor’s degree.

Ann was united in marriage to Harold R. Lusk Feb. 11, 1951, on the Woodbury Family Farm in Olivet. They spent 60 years together before Harold’s death Feb. 5, 2013.

After starting her career in education, Ann became actively involved in the rental business in Osage City. She was a member of the Osage City Library Board, Sorosis Club, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Osage City. She was also a member of the Kansas Livestock Association.

Ann is survived by her two children, James Lusk (Nancy), Overland Park, and Luree Lusk (Terry), Wichita; four grandchildren, David Anderson-Lusk (Joanna), Fort Campbell, Ky., Thomas Lusk (Ali), Phoenix, Ariz., Rachel Ann Lusk, Osage City, and Nathan Lusk (Lauren), Olympia, Wash.; and two great-grandchildren, Zelda Ann and Leo Lusk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Lusk; her parents; and her brother, Fred Woodbury, Quenemo.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at the First Presbyterian Church, Osage City. A luncheon will follow, and all are welcome to attend. Masks are encouraged.
