OVERBROOK — Roseanne R. McCann, 69, Overbrook, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at her residence.

She was born May 21, 1952, in Roswell, N.M., the daughter of Arvid Lee and Rosella (Anderson) Bergstrom. She grew up in the Brantford Community and attended the Kackley School before her family moved to Clay Center. She was a member of the Clay Center Community High School Class of 1970.

Roseanne married Loren D. “Bob” McCann Jr. March 4, 1970.

She worked as a waitress at the Sunflower Café, as well as Key’s Egg Plant. She graduated from Crum’s Beauty School in 1983, and then went to work at The Primp Shop, Clay Center. She later owned and operated Hair Unlimited until retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church.

Roseanne was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Debra Bergstrom; and a grandson, Colby Barber.

She is survived by her husband, Loren D. “Bob” McCann Jr., Overbrook; her son, Jerrod “Jake” McCann (Kathy), Chilliwack, B.C., Canada; three daughters, Rhonda Carney (Mike), Clay Center, Gretchen Williams (Jason), Morganville, and Teralee Barber (Paul), Clay Center; 11 grandchildren, Kaden and Kory McCann, Caleb Osborne (Logann), Colton Carney (Ashlyn), Cameron Osborne, Lorren Huse (Ricky), Hannah Schulte (Trey), Dillon Williams, Leah Finley, Sarah York (Chris), and Christina Finley; four great-grandchildren, Caisyn Schulte, Havley Schulte, Blair Osborne and Beau Carney; a brother, Lester Bergstrom (Pat), Cuba; and a sister, Christine Gepner (Bob), Bonner Springs.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at the United Methodist Church Family Life Center, Clay Center. Burial will be at Brantford Covenant Cemetery, rural Clifton. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Roseanne McCann Memorial Fund, to be designated later, and sent in care of Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, 918 Seventh St., Clay Center, KS 67432.
