OVERBROOK — Robin Katherine Fairchild, 73, Overbrook, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook.

She was born Oct. 21, 1947, in Greenwich, Conn., the daughter of William and Audrey James. She grew up in Vero Beach, Fla., graduating from Vero Beach High School with the Class of 1965. Following graduation, she attended and graduated from secretarial college.

Early in her life, Robin was an account manager for a condominium sales company in Vero Beach. She later became a bookkeeper for Skillmaster Builder in Phoenix, Ariz., and Houston, Texas, and retired from Proler Construction, Houston, as a bookkeeper.

Robin loved to garden. She always had beautiful flowers blooming at her house. She was an avid reader. She also had a very keen eye for designer purses and was always ready to buy one when out shopping.

She was united in marriage to John Fairchild Dec. 23, 1989, at Forth Farms, Overbrook. They shared 31 years of love and commitment together.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents and a beloved stepson, Scott Fairchild.

She is survived by her husband, John Fairchild, Overbrook; her sister, Diane Bell, Houston, Texas; two nephews, Christopher and Geoffrey Bell, both of Houston; her stepgranddaughter, Eva Marie Fairchild; her stepgreat-grandchild, Brooklyn; her sister-in-law, Laurie Shuck (Dave), Overbrook; her brother-in-law, Mike Forth (Terri), Overbrook; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Overbrook Cemetery.
