TOPEKA — Kathy Ann Price, Burlingame, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at Stormont Vail Health, Topeka. She was 60.
She was born Aug. 5, 1961, in Baton Rouge, La., the daughter of Melvin Leroy and Dolores Ann (Orgeron) Price.
Kathy was united in marriage to Stephen Vandruff July 7, 2001, in Leavenworth. They made their home on a farm southwest of Burlingame.
She was a truck driver. She had a love for dogs and rescued several. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking. She was very kind and never met a stranger.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Beverly Brecheen; and three brothers, Randy, Ronnie and Craig Price.
She will be forever remembered by her husband, Stephen, of the home; three daughters, Stacey Williams, Burlingame, Casey Davis, Burlingame, and Nora Lawrence, DeSoto; a son, Jeremy Price, Breaux Bridge, La.; three sisters, Debbie Bourgeois, Louisiana, Roxanne Munger, Osage City, and Melinda Price-Bedi, Mississippi; a brother, Jerry Orgeron, Louisiana; two half brothers, Leon and Vincent Lemoin, both of Louisiana; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, on the family farm southeast of Burlingame. Family and friends may pay respect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City.
