OSAGE CITY — Dorothy Evelyn Tucker, 92, died Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Osage Nursing Center, Osage City.

She was born April 1, 1929, in Murfreesboro, Tenn., the daughter of William and Lela (Reed) Davis. She grew up in Tennessee, where she graduated from high school in 1947.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Johnnie Tucker Nov. 11, 1950, in Clarksville, Tenn. To this union, three sons were born, Ronald, Michael and Fred.

She had lived in Osage City for over 50 years. She had worked at Osage Manor as a housekeeper for 21 years and was a member of the Church of Christ in Osage City.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie, Feb. 4, 2005; a son, Fred Tucker, Dec. 9, 2017; her two brothers, Charles Davis and Aubrey Davis; and her two sisters, Mary Davis and Willie May Davis.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronald (Zona) Tucker and Michael Tucker, both of Osage City; her two granddaughters, Karen (Darrell) Willcut, Richmond, and Bobbie Jo (Michael) Huntzinger, Towanda; and her four great-granddaughters, Aryanna Smith, Emily Willcut, Olivia Huntzinger and Aubrey Huntzinger.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 7, at the Osage City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon, and then go in procession to the cemetery.

Memorial contributions for Dorothy may be made to Midland Hospice Care and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS. 66451.
