OSAGE CITY — Lillian Rose “Billie” Heilman, 92, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Peterson Assisted Living, Osage City.

She was born March 6, 1929, in Lyndon, the daughter of Maurice and Lillian (Rose) Hobbs. She grew up in Lyndon and graduated from Lyndon High School in 1947. She lived in Lyndon and Melvern most of her life, and lived in Osage City for the last several years.

Lillian worked at Jostens in Topeka as a purchasing agent until her retirement. She was a member of the Melvern United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was united in marriage to Charles Heilmann June 4, 1947, in Lyndon.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, Jan. 23, 2017; her parents, Maurice and Lillian; her three brothers, Richard, Gerald and Malcom Hobbs; and her two sisters, Patricia Yockey and Correne Bowman.

She is survived by her two daughters, Karen West and Connie Masenthin, both of Osage City; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Private family inurnment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery east of Melvern.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS. 66451.
