OSAGE CITY — Nancy Joan Cummings died Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at her home in Osage City. She was 79.
She was born Nov. 9, 1941 in Burlingame, the daughter of Arthur and Nadene Wiscombe Williamson. Nancy graduated from Osage City High School in 1959 and lived in Osage City until moving to Colorado in 1980 and then moved back to Osage City in 2018.
Nancy was a clerk and manager for Circle K and George’s True Value Hardware, in Ft. Lupton, Colo. She enjoyed quilt making, sewing, flower gardening, helping others and was a lover of animals, especially her dogs.
She married Raymond Terry Cummings Aug. 15, 1968, in Osage City. He survives.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Nadene; a son, Mark Smothers, June 2011; a grandson, Daniel Lira, Jan. 1, 1991; a brother, Edward Willamson; and a sister, Donna Bennett.
Besides her husband of 52 years, she is survived by two daughters, Sally Smothers and Brenda Smothers, both of Osage City; a stepson, Steven Cummings, Osage City; a brother, Robert Williamson, Osage City; five grandchildren, Tara Peters, Overland Park, Jesse Grimmett and Luke Grimmett, both of Manhattan, Hayley Smothers, Brighton, Colo., and Danea Dedig, Westminster, Colo.; and seven great-grandchildren, Daniel Jones, Brycen Peters, Corbin Peters, Dorothy Dedig, Natalie Grimmett, Hannah Densing and Abigail Densing.
Nancy was cremated and graveside memorial services will be announced in the spring.
