OVERBROOK — Dolores E. Sillin, Overbrook, died Sunday, July 26, 2020. She was 89.

She was born April 25, 1931, in Great Bend, the daughter of Louis Jacob and Viola A. (Wolf) Geil. She was a 1948 graduate of Great Bend High School.

Dolores was employed by Great Bend Lumber Yard and later for Sears Department Store, in Topeka, for many years until retiring.

She was a member of Overbrook United Methodist Church, in Overbrook. She volunteered for Help House, in Lyndon, and American Cancer Society.

Dolores married Percy Sillin Aug. 19, 1952, in Great Bend. He preceded her in death Nov. 9, 2003.

Dolores enjoyed spending time with family, especially grandchildren, traveling, cooking, gardening, crafts and Christmas season and music. She was also a K.C. Royals fan.

Survivors include two sons, Brad D. Sillin and Todd (J.J.) Sillin, both of Topeka; three grandchildren, Chance, Mariah and Jessica; and five great-grandchildren, Maverick, Charley, Mason, Waylon and Kase and another expected.

Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony is pending at a later date at Overbrook United Methodist Church, 1005 Maple St., Overbrook.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W. Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
